So, I have XP installed on a SATA II drive... Works just fine. Well, other than the typical windows stuff. For school, I installed Vista onto an IDE drive. Rebooted a couple times just fine, then I installed the windows updates. Now, BIOS recognized the IDE drive, but XP does not, and it will not boot to Vista. So, yeah, still tired. Switched a med, couldn't eat for a few weeks, switched back. I feel mostly better from that now.
