just for the fun of it.

They're an excellent source for who is racist,
sexist, violent, harassers... etc.

I don't need to comment on yesterday,
although I have plenty to say.

I didn't sleep very well last night so I was, unfortunately, nodded off when Heather Cox Richardson made a comment that the Dems were as much to blame as the Repubs. I'm going to have to go back and relisten.

Mr. Sorbo has been working out since I last saw him. Apparently he has so much muscle there is no room in his head for a brain...

I can sort of see the appeal of hanging out with these nutty protest types. You get to dress up in silly clothes and make up all kinds of wild stories about the world. It's not all that far away from some of the festival/rave types i've hung out with in the past, who are also dead-set on their wackadoodle conspiracy theories and alternative medicine and woo. Those Westboro Baptist Church types are a similar deal. People who have just fallen so deep into a comfortable web of nonsense that they lose all touch with reality, and they don't seem to care ( ... )

You might notice that I don't happen to use that sort of hateful dehumanizing speech when talking about people, just because I happen to seriously disagree with them. I don't even call them "crazy". Although... if someone LIKES to refer to themselves as a nazi, a neo-nazi, a fascist, etc... hey... yeah. Sure, man. Whatever floats your boat... thanks for letting me know outright where you stand.... but I try not to label other people for my own amusement ( ... )

I think its pretty hilarious that the Trumpers can watch what happens at BLM rallies and then they storm the capital and make ALL ACTIVE SENATORS actually physically afraid for all of 1 hour just by being PRESENT... and then they're surprised that the entire Congress calls them 'violent radicals'. They can't see the irony at all ( ... )

That’s not a Capital guard, it’s one of the mob. Several of them had those shields, they brought them with-you can see them using them in the videos of people breaking and then climbing through a window.

It’s one of the pro-trump loonies, and a lot of them were dressed like...they think they’re cowboys or something. Or they’re furries. Probably all of the above.

The way I see it:

The militarized conspiracy theory folks are sure that perversion is supposed to be done PRIVATELY and hate the furries for being so bold.

The furry-folk are sure that perversion IS ABOUT DOING THINGS IN PRIVATE AND THEN REFUSING TO ADMIT YOU DID THEM.... and hate the militarized conspiracy folks for being so falsely pious.

I didn't check SNOPES... I just checked THE NEWS! Ha! Of course 99% of the news coverage is on the Trumpen du jour.... but SOME outlets DID remember that OTHER THINGS WERE HAPPENING, and there were SERIOUS counter protests going on. Problem was... they were a bunch of people amassing and kneeling and not doing anything else. The major news hasn't caught on to WHY there weren't many police at the capital, even though the threats of violence had been very... open.
They were blocks away... watching over brown people who were kneeling in protest "in case something happened".

To be honest, it was BARELY on Democracy Now.. which covered the protests the night before on January 5th, and the tearing down of the BLM flag by the Proud Boys at a historically black church.... but even their news coverage was overtaken by the mobbing of the capital and the late voting session come January 7th. I had to do deep internet digging to find out what else was going on in the city... and its NEARLY impossible to find.

News loves the conflict too much... and it is too inviting to capitalize on it.
