Yes and no. You're right, the short tempers and aggressiveness can also be seen in people our age but I think that's due to tumblr being such a young site and the different kind of communication of people ten or more years younger than us affecting the overall way we communicate on there. Like, all those angry teenagers turning us back into angry teenagers as well, you know?

Tumblr also really shows you the nasty side of fandom (and... everything...), right?

Yes! It's a great place for graphics and stuff and it does make me laugh on a regular basis but... it also has this aggressive, bigot side that says "Oh yeah, we're very supportive here, fighting for the weak, etc. etc., as long as you think exactly the same as we do." and that always reminds me of immature teenagers who have

Definitely! There's this thing that everyone can see what you post on there (except when you're a private blog but that's kind of not the purpose of tumblr, most of all because then no one can see what you post, if I got that right) that you mentioned and there's also the fact that it's incredibly hard to defend yourself on tumblr.

There's always someone telling you to "suck it up" and trying to show you just how stupid you are (again, such a supportive, non-judging community, no?) because you weren't aware of a tiny cultural detail that only a handful of anthropologists knew about or something and that really pisses me off. Like, everyone's all "Educate yourself!" but when you tell them that racism in the US and racism in Europe are, for example, two completely different things in parts, they ignore you. And I really think a lot of that is due to the relatively low average age of tumblr

Ich shippe nix so richtig bei HP (außer als Kiddie mal Harry/Draco, weil es halt cool war. XD), aber die Vorstellung von Harry/Hermine find ich gruselig (hat für mich was Inzestuöses :D). Außerdem war ich damals ganz froh, dass es eben NICHT so ausging "Der männliche Protagonist und die weibliche Protagonistin werden ein Paar", sondern halt mal entgegen des Klischees. Aber ein post bei tumblr hatte ganz gut zusammengefasst, dass es dutzende andere Dinge gibt, die JKR viel eher bereuen sollte als so ne waynige Sache. :3
