Okay, so I spend the day clicking my way through the whoneedsfeminism tumblr instead of finally finishing that essay and yeah, there are some posts I have issues with but overall, I love the idea because yes, if there are over 2000 posts, it's pretty clear that we do need feminism.

I need feminism so that people with children will stop looking at me with smug, knowing looks and say "oh, you'll change your mind when you fall in love" when I say that I don't want biological children or even children at all*.

*Because darnit, I kill plants. And if I did change my mind, I'd adopt. I cannot fathom why the same people who bombard me with messages about adopting shelter animals think that existing children deserve less consideration than existing dogs.
