(or, more accurately, eine Berlinerin, since I'm female but that's not the point and the quote doesn't go that way anyway so screw correct German grammar)
Sounds great, I'm very happy for you being a Berliner again. But ... hm ... isn't there ANYTHING you're going to miss about TTW at all? I mean ... this sounds as if your time there was like ... hell. Or is it just me?
It's maybe just you ;) It wasn't hell, it just wasn't home, I guess. Somehow I always knew TTW wouldn't be for ever so I also knew I'd have to say good bye some day (actually, I'd planned to stay not more than seven years). Also, I'm just not a small town girl so it's probably natural I'd feel different about Berlin than about TTW.
Of course there's stuff I will miss (for example the little children's book store in the old town) and people I will miss but I'm sure there are children's book stores in Berlin as well (in fact, a couple my parents are friends with are booksellers with an independent book store so I'll just ask them) and there are things called phones and StudiVZ and Facebook so... it's just better that way :)
Oh, but I'm a native ;) Anyway... do you like museums? I made a resolution of using the possibilities of the Berlin museum scope much more than I used to ;)
welcome home! it'S always nice to be back, isn't it? funny, everybody i know who's ever lived in Berlin wants to go back. once a Berliner, always a Berliner.
so you finally got a job here? can't imagine Erfurt being so b ad (it was Erfurt, was it?)
mmm...random question here; wasn't what JFK said wrong? I heard from my history prof that when he said that famous phrase he actually said 'I am a chicken'? (or something to that effect)
No, actually it was absolutely correct (assuming he didn't mean the donut like thingy that everyone else in Germany apart from the Berliners calls "Berliner" ;)).
That were the results to the SG Fan Awards 2008. I meant the nominations for this year (i.e. SG Fan Awards 2009). As far as I remember, nominations for the 2008 Awards got out in February 2009, so I still have hope that they didn't cancel those as well...
Hmm. I'm sure you're right. I was so slammed at the time I didn't even look at the results. The nomination process was VERY offputting so I didn't nominate anyone. Keep me updated.

Yes, come here in May! However... you know you'll have to endure a city tour by a very enthusiastic gila, right? ;)
