HonorH had something in her LJ about how rumors about RotK were upsetting people, and how fans were being too quick to judge on the basis of rumor.

I don't think people are judging solely on the basis of rumor. My fears for the movie are partly based on rumor, and partly based on my own dislike of certain aspects of RotK.

No Eowyn battle? What? That sucks! It was one of the coolest bits in the trilogy :-( If they can include made up bits about people falling off cliffs, in the stupidest bit of fake tension you can imagine, then they can let her have her moment,

Agreed, Jane, but the indications (according to religiously-devout LOTR fans who have every interview and every radio clip and every video release about any aspect of the trilogy) are that Jackson cut it. I am hoping they are wrong. I mean, it IS a defining moment for Eowyn and for Merry, not to mention the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy.

Oh, I do hope that they don't cut Eowyn's battle with the witch King! or if they do, at the very least include it in the extended edition...

But then, I think that we really have to be afraid, since most of the recent interviews have the actors saying that ROTK is going to be the biggest was movie of all time, or some other phrase to that effect.
