In most zombie apocalypses, someone armed with a stapler and a thermos-mug would be screwed on a colossal scale. But with Strawberry as my traveling companion, I think I'd be all right, even if he was wearing his body at the time.
If it's Cesare, I think that you just need to stand back and let him enjoy massacring the zombies. On the plus side, he'll be cheerfully occupied for at least a month.
This is true! I actually don't know who the "main" character is on Borgias, so I'm allowing myself the luxury to pick either Cesare or Michelotto. ;)
But now, a more substantive response!
And yes, this applies to fictional characters as well to real life. It causes problems with some books; many authors are fond of double standards, allowing the heroes leeway that the villains don't possess. As far as I'm concerned, wrong is wrong, and it doesn't become right just because your side is doing it.
I love this answer because this drives me crazy in fiction. I really don't enjoy it when the author informs me who I should be rooting for. It's something I try to reproduce in my own writing, to the best of my ability.
Also, I am stealing this meme with your questions! Of course, I am doing so at the expense of student essays, but THAT IS OKAY. :)

It is VERY okay!

You do that very well. (It seems to be a knack with people in histories fandom.)

As for the stapler, I'm just going to pretend that's your zanpakutō and that it hasn't gone through initial release yet.

11) Are you happy?
I think so. I'm not happy 24/7, but I have friends and I have a lot of things to read and watch that make me laugh a lot.
Good! I'm glad. <3
