I just got a call from a credit card about a recent payment to Livejournal. Apparently the company thought that LJ was a scam and that the card had been stolen because LJ is owned by a Russian company

If that's Visa, it's standard. When I donated to a New Zealand site (earthquake relief) I got an automated "is this OK?" call.

I've tried to post over there a couple of times and it claims that I've not given my LJ user name even though I'm logged in, and it won't accept my name or password to post.

Well, whatever this glitch is, that may account for it. Admittedly I doubt that there's be much posting, but I did want to update the rec list with Arsinoe de Blassenville's 'The Best Revenge' and it's sequel.

After getting most of the bitterness out of her system with Golden Age, she took a long look at what we had *liked* about the series and gave us a classic re-do in the Severitus tradition.
