Alas, am broker than a broke thing (no, really, not just an excuse, recent Body And Computer And House and Heating Fail has been expensive!) -- but will of course boost the signal off- and on-line.
My university did this to all the casual staff in the department once (including me) but they fixed their mistake inside a week because *it was their mistake*. They certainly didn't wave a hand and say "too bad".
I'm in straitened circumstances myself, but I had been planning on going to the Big E tomorrow, and the weather killed that, so I sent the gate fee, since I was planning on spending that ANYWAY. I wish I could afford more, but I do know (all too well!) that even a few bucks sometimes makes the difference between, say, toilet paper and NO toilet paper, which can be a big deal.
