Thank you. I've never written Draco before. I mean, ever. So I'm glad I got that right. (And Willow's voice. Xander was great fun to write, but I wasn't sure I'd done Willow justice.)
I love it! :) After I requested it I felt a little badly...I mean, requesting a Jewish-themed story on a Christian holiday. But I figured you'd tell me if you'd minded.
Okay, well, this was over twelve years ago, but I used to belong to a very Reform synogogue. And on Purim one year, the rabbi (a woman!) and the cantor dressed as beach bums, and sang a song about the holiday to the tune of a Beach Boys medley. (The cantor played the guitar, which was so cool. And he was young and rather cute, so...mm.)
The only bit I still remember is (can't vouch for the spelling):
You see them waving their gragors Reading megillahs too And noshin' hamentashen Purim USA!
Loved all of them--great insights into the first two, in particular--but the BtVS one was truly special. It's a little different from the account in the Bible, which is cool. From Jewish traditions, no? I thought you nailed the voices, personally. Perfect!
Yes, it's a little different--the name of the advisor who tells the king to have Vashti killed and the account of Haman's daughter dumping trash on her father both come from the Talmud, according to the site I used.
And I'm very glad that you loved all of them; it's been a while since I've done Buffyverse anything, so I'm glad I got the voices right.
The first one was a great insight into both Hermione's and Luna's minds, the second is a perfect Draco voice without ever delving into fanon Draco, and the third... well, the third blew me away. Absolutely excellent. And perfect Xander and Willow voices.
(Psst. Just a little typo - On the night of the first banguet)
And thank you very much. I'm very glad to be getting praise for the third one from Buffy fans, as I was quite worried about Willow's voice in that story.

But my favourite has to be Draco and his Quidditch analogy. Wonderful ficlet.
