Wanted: single rpg that's looking for long-term commitment

So, I have been playing Puzzle Quest on my PSP - and it's awesome - a really unique mix of puzzle and rpg-ish aspects.  It is a geat game to play that doesn't require commitment and it's available in nearly every format imaginable, so I recommend it as a pick-up for pretty much everybody.  It actually started as a PC game and that's how I first

That's really funny -- I looked at your game screen this morning, and I swear the overworld looked exactly like Phantasy Star 3. (A similar-era game on the Sega Genesis. geepgal grew up with Nintendo, so she wouldn't know to compare it.) So yeah, JRPGs really DID all look the same.
