So, I got a Bare Minerals kit with my Christmas Sephora giftcard, but I don't think I've gotten the hang of it, yet. The flawless application brush isn't enough, the kabuki brush is too much. Maybe I just need to do two applications with the flawless brush. shacky20? Any help, here? Plus, I think maybe I need a peel to get rid of my flaky skin. ( Read more... )

Oh. My. God.

$181 for makeup?

I'm suprised you even wear makeup, honestly.

Actually, it was only $60--it would be $181 if you bought all the kit components seperately. Makeup companies do that a lot--package things together for a much lower price because they want to get you hooked. Well, not you since you have absolutely no reason to know anything about makeup, but you know what I mean.

And I love makeup. I think it's hilarious. So tribal, painting our faces every day. I don't wear it every day, true, but I have a lot of fun with it when I do.

Well, to quote Gil from Bully for You, episode 2.04 of CSI, "Scent triggers memory more acutely than any of the five senses." I've just proven once again that I'm a CSI-obsessed dork, but so be it. :-D

That's OK, I was thinking of that quote as soon as I wrote those lines, so at least we're both CSI-obsessed dorks.

have you tried oil?

i do ocm abotu once a week, it's great for oiliness, balckheads, and patches of nasty dry skin. we're dry up here in flag too! let me know if you want me to give you the recipe.

i also have a good yogurt/oatmeal thing i use sometimes too, but i SWEAR that the oil is the best.

I'd like to know more about this oil thing as well. My skin is all dry and oily too.

Oh, Chanel No. 5 - that's my perfume, too. Isn't it the best? It makes me feel all Marilyn Monroe-y.
