Haha. Loved it. I'm always glad to see Jack make an appearance, and you brought him in beautifully.

Jack's quite irresistable. I'm happy you enjoyed the little comedy!

Sweet and boozy! What I particularly loved was James' little moment of jealousy. Rather too warmly indeed!

I do like the idea of James growling. ;)

Glad you enjoyed it!

As usual, your writing is amazing. Are you working on an original novel yet??

Er... no. Probably should, huh? Maybe inspiration will strike one of these days.

Glad you enjoyed this! Thanks so much for commenting!

Kimi & I are going to see The Libertine this afternoon at 4:40, btw -- I'll let you know how it is. Say hi to Ginger! And give dr_mrow a hug for me.

"What the devil are you doing in my parlour?"
*giggles* ... *giggles more*
Love it. Love them. Adore it when you make Jack and Norrington friends: comfortable with each other, mostly relaxed but still prickly.

vehemently offended Cat (O' Nine Tails, of course - Parrot stole her latest prize)

They do make a great "odd couple" -- I noticed it first in reading firesignwriter's Jjail and Moonverse (which was also my first exposure to slash -- nothing like starting with one of the best). It was the relationship she built between them that made it work, and persuaded me that the Commodore was a great foil for Jack. He's so good, in fact, that I got away from writing much about Will at all, which is a shame, really, as he's a great charactrer, too. Maybe the next film will be inspirational in that direction.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. Have a beautiful weekend!

I so enjoy when writers are able to balance the two of them well (as you do) without losing canon personalities. Don't think I've read Moonverse - will have to find it and put on my fic-to-read list.

Parrot stole another prize from Cat O'Nine? Rotten little bugger didn't let on to me.... Hmmmm. (Goes off in search of Parrot and of another Cat & Parrot tale to tell.)

GM? I'm in the midst of moving again. It's a bummer. But reading this tonight just lit me up from the inside out! I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy - and laughed aloud enough to cause the dogs concern. What a wonderful snippet, so perfectly voiced in all 3 cases - and is there anything better than the three of them in this arrangement? I think not.

Thanks for a delightful interlude!
