The final chapter of this one. My deepest thanks to hereswith for beta reading this longish tale, and to everyone who's been following along and letting me know you enjoyed it!
Wow, you're fast! Tom and Anne are so much fun to write that I'm not ready to stop just yet, apparently, though I'm not sure when I'll post the next one, may wait until I have it all written and post it a little bit each day for a couple of weeks as a New Year's treat (viva_gloria did that one time with her great story Marooned and it made the post-holiday/return to work blues almost vanish!).
Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed the story. It makes me so happy to know that you're still enjoying Harry & the Pirate after all these years.
really hot conversation (with the beloveds, these, one must be prepared to read between the lines)
Well, Tom was sitting right there, so a little discretion was called for. Not that he doesn't know which way the wind blows with his parents, more or less.
Jack got shorted in his growing up years and I wonder sometimes who helped carry his heart when he was little as Tom and needed more than his absent da could provide.
There will be considerable reference to Jack's youth (the H&theP version that is) in the next story, actually. ;-)
The story between Tom and Anne, wow--is she Norrington's child or one of the babies he married intoAnne is Maggie and Jame's daughter, born shortly after they married. Her younger brothers, the twins, were born when she was five. Charles, Suzanna, and Julietta are Maggie's children from her first marriage, though James is a far better father to them than was Maggie's first husband, the now-deceased Charles Holliday, who was something of a wastrel
( ... )
Ha! I'm glad Harry had the baby early, probably better for Jack too. Pleased this will continue and I thik Tom is very wise to have the parental attention focused elsewhere for a bit. Good work. Felaine
