Went to the Happiest Place on Earth yesterday with niece
gingersnapps for the express purpose of taking pictures of the Christmas decorations. We went on Small World (so cute dressed for the holidays) and the train (to save us a little walking -- we did enough as it was) and on PotC (of course!), had a delightful dinner at the Wine Country Trattoria over in

But I've never ever been there around the holidays. Wow! It looks like so much fun, doesn't it? coming up with all those ideas, and then seeing them put together? That castle-wreath, that's really amazing.

It's just beautiful around the holidays. They really go all out to make it a special time.

Did you see the Halloween picspam I posted? They really went all out for that too, this year. But no, they don't do it for every holiday.

But for sure it doesn't freeze, or only very very rarely, so yeah, poinsettias and cyclamen in beds, and lots of beautiful greenery all year long. It's a gardeners paradise (although the ones who work there have to work at night, of course).

Wow; 91 degrees is no fun in the Big City.
I recall moving to Long Beach after being reared in northern Ohio. I almost never got my Christmas shopping done. It just didn't seem right without a coat.
