I finally finished and mailed (and Mom recieved) a Thing!
It's a tiny little bag she can wear around her neck that I made from yarn I spun, and knitted myself, and sewed beads I bought (from mantofev) onto it

Thanks! The fiber was from a large batt my Mom got at Halcyon, which I think was intended for felting (looks suspiciously identical to peace fleece's batts). It was kinda crunchy to spin, but I didn't mind. Should have wet-blocked it, I bet the mohair would halo like crazy.
The face seems to be made of something very hard and shiny, something that makes it look like ivory. I have a sculpey mold that has a similar face, but i wish the eyes were as pretty as these ones.
The paint job is a wonderful piece of work on that face, too.
My projects.... They are moving, at least. There's just so many of them! And, like with the googly eyes, sometimes I just absolutely cannot resist starting something new.
I've made a little progress on Mom's socks.
The other gift.... I've totally scrapped the sock idea and now I have to make a tryptich. Like, tonight.

I think you yarn you spun is a really great colorway. The colors blend so nicely.
And that's an awesome face. I have a mold for making that face in Sculpey. SOMEWHERE.
