A Thing i made
I finally finished and mailed (and Mom recieved) a Thing!
It's a tiny little bag she can wear around her neck that I made from yarn I spun, and knitted myself, and sewed beads I bought (from mantofev) onto it.
The little round silver charm says "wish" and the drawstring is a scrap of pretty Shaker yarn I bought last summer when I went to visit Mom and Dad in Maine.
I thought it might be good for last fiber_friday, whose theme was "Wrapped in Blue" but I felt like I was cheating because the yarn is more green than blue, and I made it specifically for my Mom's birthday, which wasn't even on a Friday.
I have standards.
I dropped a penny in there, got her a silly card, and off in the mail they went! I am so proud of myself. Someday I will send other things I should send. Someday.
