...and now we wait...and wait...and WAIT...on the Christmas Special...

So, long story short, my house flooded and I ended up moving in with my mother and her husband until the repairs are finished. It's been a LONG few months, two different contractors, and about $25,000 (because WHO IN SMALL TOWN MID-GEORGIA HAS FLOOD INSURANCE??), and a lot of unhappiness (I will be 30 in January. I have an 11pm curfew on ALL ( Read more... )

Aw... now I wish that I knew where my Litebrite is. I used to have one, but I have no idea if I still have it.

I love the Doctor Who themed scene!!! Awesome!!!

Definitely excited for Christmas!

Toys from the 1980's are freaking amazing. My friend Chrissy and I got pretty intoxicated one night, and because we're nerds, we watched The Fifth Element and made a TARDIS from legos that were her's and her sister's and their cousins' (she is the youngest and she "inherited" them because no one else wanted them-WTF?), and it is sitting on her computer desk...I joked that now she has a lego TARDIS and I have a litebrite one! :)

Oh man, I totally need to grab my Litebright next time I'm home! I know it's somewhere in the basement.

(And I can't WAIT for the new episode, although I am still in mourning for Amy and Rory.)

Maybe I'm a bitch, but once I "met" Oswin, I was ready to lose Amy & Rory! I like them, but they remind me too much of my ex and his wife, and Oswim seems like my kind of girl :)

THEY ARE OVER NOW! I did the final walk-through this afternoon, and inspected all of the work, which was amazing, now all I have to do it buy a new headboard & footboard and a new mattress/boxspring. Yardsales are amazing for the head/footboards, but I refuse to have a used mattress!

Anyway, expect pictures of the TARDIS in it's place of honor on my bookshelf in my house in a couple of weeks at most :)

I cried so much at the last episode! I can't wait for the Christmas one!!

I've never heard or seen of a Lightbrite until I read your post. That is so awesome! Lights that you can make into pictures?! And it's the TARDIS!!! I love it!

They made a new one a few years back because my goddaughter has it. I know nothing about it, but I bet it's a little more updated, and a lot nicer, than my one from 1988. If you decide to get one, that would be my choice...and it's good to know I am not the only one counting down the days until the Christmas special. My friends and I are doing a Doctor Who themed Christmas party-I found my angel cookie cutter today. I plan on making sugar cookies, with hard frosting, and writing on each "Don't Blink." :)

That's a brilliant idea!! Those angels invaded my dreams after I watched that last episode, except that the one chasing me looked like Marge Simpson and was making a similar noise :P

Also, since that last comment, I have gone to a yardsale and purchased an angel shaped cake pan. It was a southern baptist church yardsale. All the ladies there were like "Oh, how sweet! You're gonna make an angel cake for christmas!"....and all I could do was snicker and nod...
