I went in for a physical today, and I walked out with a piece of paper directing me where to go for my first mammogram. I suppose it's getting harder and harder to deny that I really am getting older. (To be fair, my mother and my grandmother both had breast cancer, so I need to start with them sooner than I might otherwise. I'll keep telling ( Read more... )

I figure the alternative is definitely much, much worse. Do they import the plates specially from Siberia, like they do with certain other tools? ;)

Yes, though since these are much larger and heavier, the cost is greater for the postage, which is why the procedure costs so much more. ;^p

Yeah, I'm 33 for a few more months yet. I suspect I probably shoulda/coulda started even earlier, but I put off doctor's visits as long as humanly possible.

My doctor started me at 39, but my family history is cancer in general, not breast cancer specifically.

I cracked open the bottle of Glenfiddich 15 Year Solera Reserve I got as a housewarming present and had a couple of glasses.
