I'm tired of being unemployed, so got a minimum wage job for the holidays. This'll meant that I will not be collecting unemployment for much longer, and will be getting weekly checks for less than that benefit. Although I suppose if unemployment is extended past New Year's Day, I could go back onto it when this job ends.

Forbidden Kingdom looks like it might be good. Unfortunately, it does have the extraneous kid from the U.S. who accidentally stumbles into exotic China thing going. And the kid doesn't have any moves. So, it's a good action movie married to a patronizingly hokey plot line which is "needed" to keep the audience interested ( Read more... )

Who's the person who hands out directions and gives out passes for CUGC nowadays? I might have a player for a D&D game. Since he's in Fresh Meadows, I was thinking that CUGC on some Fridays might be the best time and place to take a stab at this.

I'm thinking of getting back into running a game. D&D, Star Frontiers, or something in a modern superhero flavor. Maybe Burning Empires. If there's enough folks interested in giving something a stab?

So who looks good for the Democratic nomination?
