Aside from debris in the street (which, let's face it, we're pretty used to) things in my immediate vicinity are in good shape. Worked this morning with some friends to take down the plywood here and then went to help them at their places

I'm so relieved that nothing too serious happened to the city this time. Thanks for letting me know about it when you did. It was interesting to watch it all online in real time (I watched both the satellite/radar weather pictures and the live video camera on nola.com website) and I'm glad *interesting* is all that it was.
Why would Lo be annoyed at curfews? He can come and go as he pleases. Who can stop him?

We were relieved here, too, as you can imagine. There was a mess, but that's nothing new when a storm passes through; otherwise we dodged a bullet--poor Galveston got hit badly with Ike, though. A nasty storm.

And Louis--jJust because he can do as he pleases doesn't mean he pleases to hide himself when he's not in the mood. He's got a contrary streak in him, akin to Lestat's; a sort of "Oh, you're not telling me what to do are you?"

I am often confounded by some of the things that irritate him.
