THE END OF THE WORLD!

Once again I've had my "lack of food storage" discussed with me. So just when is the end of the world suppose to happen. I've heard "people" say the end of the world was coming since I was a small child. It hasn't come yet. When you have "people" crying "THE SKY IS FALLING" for 40+ years, it makes it hard to even take them seriously

Oddly enough, I was thinking about this in the shower, this morning. I feel like all the things I was promised as a child have failed to appear... we don't have household robots, or flying cars; we're not living on the moon, or taking torch ships to Jupiter.

On the other hand, we're also not cannibals living in a post-apocalyptic world. The Crash has not come; there's no livin' in caves trying to avoid the radiation, or the plague, or The Man.

So I guess muddlin' along on the middle path is okay.

I remember when I was 15 visiting a friend and they were deligently counting out a years worth of tampons for every female in the house. Here it is 20 years later and think of all the time they wasted that day counting tampons for a year for 3 women.
