the business part of the music business takes up way too much time away from the music. and yet it gives us money. i hate money.

i've been so busy lately. i can not believe it's march. fuck.

so, today, i finally did something i've been dreaming about for three years now. it's called using the lower fifth string on a five string bass effectively in a straightahead jazz bass line.

so. low.

there was this party. and i ended up going. and i'm glad i went. somehow i feel comfortable among these Musicians, and seeing them all in one room made me realize i've actually made some friends here, very much to my surprise. and while they're not overtly political, they happen into very wholesome activities by the truck load, which makes me smile ( Read more... )

i have been treated to much good times in the last few days, with not much time untill now to take it all in. from the time Heller Ehrman llp. sent me and emma off with margaritas, i've done nothing but .... wow it doesnt matter. . .
