there was this party. and i ended up going. and i'm glad i went. somehow i feel comfortable among these Musicians, and seeing them all in one room made me realize i've actually made some friends here, very much to my surprise. and while they're not overtly political, they happen into very wholesome activities by the truck load, which makes me smile. and they can groove like crazy. the party consisted of people hanging out, and some combos playing, only since this was not a school event, all the combos that played, played exactly what they wanted to be playing. combined with really ridiculous musicians just hanging around, the music was off the wall, so to speak. and i felt the chill of Harmony's unheated wearhouse, and the smell of colin's friend zoe's apartment, and the mass of bodies and grooves and really happy people.
