Well... [much as she likes teasing Cloud, she doesn't want to badmouth him, so she thinks a bit for the best way to explain.] A merchant on the ship found some things from my world called "materia". They're crystallized forms of knowledge...so they're precious. He wanted to buy as many as he could at the time.

[He gets very still as he spies another one. With a quick movement, he dives forward for it and comes up with the large fish flopping violently in his hands.]

AHAH! GOTCHA NOW! NOWHERE TO--

[But he's cut off when the fish's tail smacks him in the face. He lets go and the fish is back in the stream. Naruto whines and rubs his face.]

Panning for gold! But we haven't found any yet. There's other pretty things, though. [She points to the nearby grass where she has a "pretty rock" collection growing, it will complement her pretty shell from Iiawah]
