I'd never thought I would need to introduce myself to different species in such a situation, really. Though I suppose my friends on Cephiro were not proven to be genetically human...

I would not want to offend anyone by stereotyping alien culture, or with the ethno-centricity of the simple knowledge of only Earth's alien stories...

Though I suppose a simple name and age would do... very much so if peoples ages show here as they did in Cephiro.
