[The feed turns on to a classroom in the University, where class is in session. It appears to be set up so Patchouli can address both the Guide and her live students at the same time.]The University administration has asked me to suspend my lesson in favor of something relating to the upcoming holiday. Naturally, this will not happen, but I am ( Read more... )

They actually asked you to skip your lesson? [Grumblegumble religious human holidays.]

Yes, they did. They were quite insistent about it, as well.

Hmph. I don't see the point.

Did you have to use the holly, though? [You know how she feels about those wreaths.]

It was part of the agreement.

I shall not be bringing any home, however. It should be of little issue.

[Matthew is present, and refuses to stop being weird for five damn minutes. Rather than a decoration, he has managed to rework the supplies into a mask. A goddamn creepy mask.

At least the multicoloured hair is shooting sparks all over the damn place. He might have put too much power into it, actually.]

[Yeah, she'll just... tone it down a bit.]

Do not overcharge the crystal, Gravesend. They are liable to explode.

Ah, whoops! Sorry Miss Knowledge.

[He catches a few sparks on his tongue, before they fade away. He's developing quite a taste for magic these days.]

How much is ideal?

Much less than that. Fill the gem, but do not try to force any more in after that.

[Karen's pretty much being her usual self, doing some reasonably interesting thing or other with one of those tree-topping angels. Of course, that might seem a little weird in a "curious incident of the dog in the nighttime" sort of way, if Patchy remembers how she was around this time last year. She is conspicuously non-depressed.]

[Unfortunately, she doesn't take notice of such things.]

[But, towards the middle of class, she is approached.]

A moment if you will, Karen.

[Karen's angel shoots a small burst of bluish sparkles at Patchy when she walks in front of it. Karen seems unconcerned by this.]

Are you doing anything after class? We may need your assistance at the Mansion today.

[Hovering in the air is a spinning, sparkling star looking all awesome and impressively made. Unfortunately, the witch that made it appears to no longer be in the classroom.

...there is, however a familiar-looking back and white cat curled up 'asleep' on Patchouli's chair.]

[Oh, that cat again. Hm. Sorry. No cuddles this time, not in public.]

[...Okay, maybe a small, discreet scritch before she goes around observing the other students.]

[The cat's gold eyes open up at the scritch and a bit of a purr is heard before Patchy moves on.

The next time Patchouli looks over at her desk, she'll see the cat sitting on top of watching everyone.]

[By now, Patchy's noticed the star in the room that seems to belong to no one. Bit of magic analysis pegs the handiwork to Marisa, but... it doesn't seem she's here at all. Strange. Must have left before she was noticed.]

[After a while, she heads back to the desk, surprised to see that the cat was still there. Well, so long as it wasn't doing anything to disturb the class, it could stay. She'll even give it Marisa's handiwork to play with.]
