[The feed turns on to a classroom in the University, where class is in session. It appears to be set up so Patchouli can address both the Guide and her live students at the same time.]
The University administration has asked me to suspend my lesson in favor of something relating to the upcoming holiday. Naturally, this will not happen, but I am willing to compromise, and as such, I have managed to adapt something into my plans. And so, in light of our current unit in dealing with pyrotechnics, I will be guiding you through the creation of a decoration of sorts. Something like this.
[From behind the desk, Patchy produces what looks to be a star. One that would be put on top of a Christmas tree. Nothing too special, just a gold star, but there are runes engraved to it, and a red gem in the middle. Those that have been paying attention in class or have some background in magic can recognize them as set up to be powered by the gem in some fashion, but such analysis isn't really needed as she gives a snap and the ornament comes to life, the ruby and runes glowing and giving off a shower of colored sparks: red, green, blue, white, gold, all very holiday-ish. She leaves it going as she continues the explanation.]
Those of you at the Magic Guild will be receiving the same lesson later, so it may be to your advantage to pay attention now. Do tell me, however, if you plan to make more than one.
[And with that, the lesson is started, Patchouli detailing the runes and how they work, how to make them, and eventually setting out a few boxes of supplies for students to start making their own, only it's not just limited to just that star. Wreathes, strands of lights, ball ornaments, all sorts of decorations. Have fun, kids.]
