Thank you, admiral. [Abed begins innocently enough as he starts to hold a muffin out to her.]

Speaking of which, I've been curious about a few things--mostly to help me figure out the possibility of my advancing in rank. [so, of course, he begins without waiting for her to reply. And his arm stops short so the muffin is just barely out of Rikku's reach.]
what exactly is your station, and what responsibilities does it entail? How long have you held that position? How long did it take you to reach it--in other words, what year did you start out at my rank? and who are your superior commanding officers on the ship?

He's also visually got the upperhand since he's the one who's tall, and standing, and holding the coveted muffin. While maybe not something otherswould notice, that sort of thing is important to this film junky.]
