Greetings, residents of the Thor! Due to an unfortunate incident planet-side involving a...uh...misunderstanding with a monkey and a sea sponge, we had to leave a bit earlier than we would have liked. I hope no one got left behind! Ho ho ho~!
Even though it looks like nothing is amiss, the Infinite Improbability Drive is up and running! Hopefully things stay quiet this time. Haha~
As always, we'll let you know when we arrive at our next destination! In the meantime, please relax and enjoy the ride!

The Improbability Drive still seems to be in a subtle mood this month! In fact, it's so subtle, it'll be like a dream! A dream that everyone can see, that is. It appears that the drive is synching up with Guides all across the Thor in some interesting ways, enhancing their wireless capabilities to not only pick up electrical signals, but brain waves as well! That's right, whatever you dream will be broadcast over the Guide (complete with Vogon V-chip censorship if necessary!) This is lucid dreaming at its best, as comments made on the post containing a person's dream will carry over right into the recipient's dream! That means that those whose dreams are being shown can talk with and interact with their commenters! Isn't that neat? What won't they think of next! Conversely, if one sleeps deep enough, they can just wake up and respond to their faithful commenters in light of their shame!
There are two ways to avoid this happening to your character, should you choose not to participate. One is...you don't have to make a dream post if you don't want to, naturally! However, if you'd like an IC way to keep this from happening to your character, they can always turn their Guide off. Much like a cell phone, the Guide can't pick up or transmit anything unless it's actually on. So have fun having your characters discover that! :D
That's it! It's begun! Going off of player response to the announcement post in the OOC comm, we're going to go ahead and keep this up for the full week - so the IID will shut down on Sunday, February 27th, at which point we'll be arriving at our new planet!
AC Reminder!
It's hard to believe it's that time again already, but the end of the month is fast approaching! If you missed it when we posted it yesterday, we've put together a list of new guidelines for future Activity Checks. They're not set in stone yet, but if you would like to use them as they are right now for this month's AC, that's totally cool! We've added a few clarifications on the topic of threads-for-activity since last night, so if you're interested in that end of things, please feel free to check the link!
For all you new folks, the Permanent Activity Check post is here. If you haven't already, please take a moment to look it over! If your character is new to the game as of February 5th, we'd like to see full activity - either the requirements still on the main AC post or the requirements in the ooc announcement, whichever you would like! And for characters just accepted this past weekend on the 19th, we'd just like to see a character intro post in the gargleblasted community. If you have any questions about how this works, please ask them in this post, as it is stalker-pinned by the mods whereas the AC post is not.
