Love this! Pirates being pirates, wounded!Jack, Shear-Lock with a new trophy for his collection, Wiggins waiting until he was done before fainting (not that I entirely blame him; it takes more nerve to hurt someone to help them than it does if you *want* to hurt them). I do worry about the notoriety Dr. Jack is making for himself, though. The more recognizable a man is, the more visible a target he becomes.

However, that does explain how the circumstances came about in the very first installation you posted for this series. (Don't suppose you'd reconsider the fates of a couple key crewmates, in that first story?)

The very first installment was the story "A Study In Crimson" for the Watson's Woes 2011 July 4 prompt. Do you mean that one?

Yarr! This certainly is an action-packed chapter in the Study in Crimson universe! You have a good balance between the violence and action in the first scene, and the reflection afterward. I like how the Bakers are a bit thirsty for action after a long period of running and hiding. "Be we rabbits, or be we foxes?" Foxes indeed. Also, that Watson is action-oriented and still manages a degree of humanity is a very nice touch! I cannot wait for them to catch up to Milverton. It will be interesting to see if you have him (Milverton) make a valiant stand, or act like a sniveling coward.

This prompt was a godsend - I realized that my pirate saga had gotten way too talky lately. Sometimes you just have to follow the advice of Nate, the veteran pirate in the comic strip Overboard: "Take two swords and hack at everything that moves."

Not sure yet how Milverton will behave. Sometimes those frightened rats have a nasty bite when they're cornered.
