Wooly Apple Aphid
Continuing our pest and disease series, I thought I'd share with you a cluster of Wooly Apple Aphids I spotted on a Yellow Horse fruiting apple at our local extension office this past week. Kermit
While in the greenhouse, the girls start calling me. By the sound of their voices, I knew a critter had to be involved. Sure enough, a tiny tree frog made his way in and was happily (and cozily, no doubt) sitting in a pot of tomato root stock. Weekly To Do
Hardening off means slowly acclimating a plant to the outdoors. This typically takes a week or more and it's best to reduce watering during this time to minimize potential stress to the transplant. Winter Garden
Taking Winter garden pictures is always a challenge. Many of the flowers are gone and beds are often a little dejected and monochromatic looking. These spent seed pods reminded me of feathers somehow. Shot against a background of pampas. Have you taken any garden photos lately?
