Finally, the seed orders...

I'm making an effort to get my veg. seed orders in earlier this year - last year a bunch of things I wanted were sold out, and I completely missed the mid-March deadline for Moose Tubers orders.

That's a large collection of varieties. I taking a cheapo approach this year and ordering less variety of each veggie so that I can buy larger quantities and pay less in total. Thanks for the reminder on the mid-March deadline for potatoes, I'll probably go with 20 pounds of each of four varieties.

Yeah, I pay extra for getting so many different small packets. I get taken in by all the cool-sounding options, then I have more variety than I can easily keep track of.

For that many pounds of potatoes, you might qualify for the bulk discount - deadline for that is March 2.

I don't remember if I did last year or not, I'm waiting on the catalog, the last time I checked, the web site hadn't been updated since last year.

The 2012 catalog's online (http://www.fedcoseeds.com/moose.htm), if you haven't received it yet.

"So, less variety this year, but still more than I can reasonably manage, plus a few experiments."

That's my gardening life, too, in one sentence. Nowhere near enough space to plant everything I'm curious to plant and learn about (first hand, I mean); far more interesting varieties than either space or budget will permit; cutting 'way, 'way back this year on how many new things I'm going to try.

Your seed purchasing list looks quite exciting!
