You could try silica gel, but honestly, I don't think that lilies have the strong cell structure necessary to facilitate drying for display.

Thanks. I dont think they do either, but I want to try -as I can't have live ones in my house due to having cats that like to munch

I've done lilies in silica crystals, and *kind* of had luck. I found that because of the thin petals and thick base, I had to do the whole flower for a couple of days, then unbury the petals and leave the base in a little longer. But it's been so many years I can't remember how many days for either. And they didn't last terribly long- they were fairly brittle but maybe I dried them too long. Oh, and take the stamens out before doing it or the pollen gets all in the crystals.
