On a more personal note

I understand that some people have wondered if I have been reading the community/maintaining it. I do read (I have the community both on my lj friends list and a separate feed reader), however I do not always get to everything within 12 hours ( Read more... )

I read this community via RSS, despite being a full fledged member, so if there is any shenanigans going on, it's quite possible they were removed before it hit the feeds.

But, I have yet to see an inappropriate post from this forum. (Unless speaking of out of season veggies is inappropriate!)

You and the rest of the mods are doing a fine job, and I thank you for it.

No need to apologize, I understand life does get in the way of community modding sometimes. It happens, especially given what you've told us here. I'm glad you're out of the abusive relationship. I've been there, and know how difficult it can be, in so many ways.

Yay for a new garden and optimism! :P

Congrats for getting out of your abusive relationship--so many people never manage to, and it's a real accomplishment that you did. While you may miss your old garden, this new one is full of hope and a fresh start!

On a completely separate note, could we get a co-mod or two? That way you can leave the internet for an hour or day or week or two and not have to have this community rely just on you. With a community this size, it is a good idea to have a few other people who can do things like add tags or delete epilepsy-inducing troll posts or whatever happens. That way, you can be out grocery shopping or weeding your garden and it won't be a problem that you're not tied to your computer.
