Fantastic!!! It may have seemed easy but you've certainly gone to a lot of trouble with these seeds - well done. Brilliant idea about putting them into the loo cistern too.

I so wish I could take credit for the loo cistern idea but the iris website I found the germination information on insisted you do that. I put a note on the wall above the loo cistern so I wouldn't forget.

I suspect the amusement of telling people you started these plants in the toilet when you start getting compliments on them will have some staying power.

easy, eh?

Forgetting about them and having them inevitably glog the throne from above after a year or two, is how this scenario would play in out in doodlemaier's ½ acre. I'll stick with simple and leave the easy stuff for you experienced gardeners.
