So, the first ficlet from the timestamp meme a while back. snycock asked what happens to Blair and Ellie from Metamophosis. There's gonna be a longer sequel at some point, but here's a bit in between the end of one and the beginning of the other...

Yay! I log on during lunch and get my timestamp story!

Oh, I liked this! As much Jim and Blair are my main interests, I have a real soft spot for fics that have someone else observing one or both of them. So I really loved hearing Ellie/Blair explaining the situation to Simon, and getting Simon's reactions. Ellie is sounding so much more confident in herself and Blair and what they're doing.

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed this and am looking forward eagerly to the promised sequel...wherein I hope we find out who blew up City Hall and why? Or was that just random bad luck?

So glad you liked! No, City Hall could have been anyone, any time, at least with the way that show goes... :) The sequel is going to be what happens when it's time for Ellie to switch hosts, wherein, of course, nothing goes according to plan.

I'm with you; there's something refreshing about playing with the side characters. And I always have lots of fun with Simon.

LOL one nice thing about lj is going through old posts and finding a story I haven't read yet. What a way for Simon to find out that Ellie is still with Blair. But also realizing that Blair is okay.

How could I not know this was here? I loved Metamorphasis and this is an excellent 2nd piece. Are you still planning on writing the sequel.

*g* Oh, thank you, I'm so pleased!

My original plans for a sequel were derailed by various plot twists in season finales (that's what I get for writing crossovers!) but I'm dying to write the sequel as soon as I can figure out a way around the problem.

A nice AU would be a way to get around any season finale problems. Besides you need to do something to redeem Teal'c. I'm not liking him much after Metamorphasis.

It's going to have to be AU anyway, because of Torchwood continuity problems, but there's other issues. It'll all get worked out.

Teal'c has his day in the sequel, never fear. I've always liked him as a character, and while we're catching him at a bad moment at the end of Metamorphosis, the qualities I love about him are going to come to the fore again once he has a chance to work through his feelings (about halfway through the sequel). I have some seriously awesome scenes planned for him.
