I love 3 and 7. Is it only self-portrait? I've been reading details, and what's the subject of the contest?

I would avoid picture with camera in front of the mirror, (9) also the lightning is not the best.

I would add more outside maybe. You have many all in the same place, your appartment. If colors or lightning are not good, sometimes in black and white it looks better.

Good luck for the contest! :)

the contest is just for contemporary photographers but i think my strength as a photographer are my self-portraits so i'm trying to pick my favourites and find a theme within them. but in the end i don't think having a theme is THAT important, better to show my strengths and variety than force a bunch of photos over the course of six years into one theme, you know?

My art teachers have always told me that when you are presenting a portfolio of your work, it is best to provide a unified example of what you do best. Also, from my experience of working at a job where people review art submissions, variety can be extremely overwhelming to a committee ( ... )

I think your polaroids are strongest, but I'm not a fan of digital. I definitely agree that the ones where the camera isn't pictured are preferable. you look absolutely gorgeous in all of them darling.

7,9, & 10 are my favorites. i like 5 alright but it bothers me that it's not color balanced (that is just me having gone through five years of a photography BFA though, you be you). also, i would probably say 5 really strong images over 15 not as strong to show scope-- i always feel like if you have only five strong images then you have five strong images, whereas if you have 15 images and not all of them are ROCK SOLID then the one that they don't like could depreciate the other 14, know what i'm saying?

i really like the unnumbered image at the top, it's soft and has beautiful colors
