First of all, let's tackle the big issues...

Daily Telegraph's We <3 Sydney: We *heart* Sydney? Thanks to this bullshit campaign, I don't. Exactly what the fuck is the point of this? And why the fuck have they wasted even a single word on this shite? I can understand if this were from some 15 year old's blog but really there's been like what 20 ( Read more... )

Yes, I am LOLing over the Daily Telegraph thing, but then again we have a premier who actually went on the news to call Adelaide a "backwater". Melbourne is just as bad, if not worse, than Sydney. :P

I don't know. I was a big fan of Steve Bracks and the fact that he quit, and then we didn't really get a say in who came next, was a bit irritating. Brumby is OK but the fact that he'd been in Parliament for like 12 years without getting anywhere kind of makes it obvious that he's there by default, and I'd like a chance to see what we could get with other members of the party. Victoria's Liberals are more or less beyond all salvation at this point.

But Brumby's mostly been continuing Bracks' approach, which I agree with, and is kind of easing in before making any big moves. So we'll have to wait and see. The sound bites that you see on the news make him seem like a bit of a dork, but that always happens!

By the sounds of it, it's only a matter of time before the country becomes back to back Liberal State Government runned. Though it sounds like you have the same problem shared with NSW which is the Liberals are just as bad if not worse.

Ah sound bites, you never get sick of them.

On the topic of politics, what do you think of Rudd trying to get a temporary seat on the UN Security Council? Or Bush's 'missile system' in Europe?
