Hoo boy. XD

I've said it before about Gant, one of the interesting things about him is how he can love something so much, and at the same time have no qualms about completely destroying it. Trucy is definitely in that category. Gant is generally fond of her, he thinks she's sweet and cute and delightful and he is amused that she calls him Ganty. At the same time, if he thought it would further his goals or serve his cause, he would throw her to the wolves without a second thought. But what he'd rather do, if he had half a chance, is use her to hurt Phoenix. Gant isn't generally a spiteful man, but Wrighto is a special case.

However, until such a situation presents itself, Gant is quite happy to chat and joke around and bond with little Trubird. He's a funny guy that way.

Trucy likes Ganty because he's fun :))))))

...and that's pretty much it.

Also I think it's really hilarious how much Gant has learned about Trucy, and she doesn't even know if he's from the same place or that he even knows anything about her dad in the first place. WINNAR.

Gant hasn't gotten to know the little Songbird yet, but Klavier amuses him. He finds Klavier's outward personality very entertaining, but he can also see (especially now that he's been inside Klavier's mind) that there's a lot more to him than appears on the surface. Now he's just trying to think of a way to turn that knowledge to his advantage, because he's an opportunistic bastard like that.

In the meantime, though, there's nothing he really wants out of Klavier. He has no beef with Klavier, Klavier has nothing on him; right now it's sort of a situation of 'this person is interesting, how can I make him useful?'

Also, he is for some reason very amused by Klavier and Apollo, hence the matching Christmas presents. He's always happy to encourage a rivalry as long as it promises to be entertaining.

[rubs hands together]

As I said before, Dean is the best Christmas present Gant could hope for. He's easily ruffled, he's emotionally vulnerable, he's massively traumatized, he's fiercely loyal, he's easy to read, and he is fantastically good-looking. Gant is all about possessing and dominating and controlling people, but only when he can do it without them fully realizing what he's doing. He wants to possess Dean in some way, because Dean has so much will and spirit and strength that Gant just can't help himself, but just setting out to capture Dean overtly is not nearly so fun as getting Dean to come to him.

Perhaps what Gant wasn't expecting is that he's also grown rather fond of Dean. Gant isn't a heartless man, and it'd be difficult for anyone not to empathize with Dean after fully understanding everything the poor boy's gone through. And he's moved somewhat by how much Dean wants to do good things, and he has done good things, and he's got so much good in him -- but doesn't see himself as a good person. That really ( ... )

Kaiji's thoughts on Firo? IDK IF RECENT HEROES WEEKEND STUFF HAS POKED AT ANYTHING, SO.

IT HAS POKED INDEED!

The downside of all your friends having superpowers is that it makes you feel pretty lame when you can't do anything cool to help them. Kaiji has massive issues with being powerless and at the mercy of someone else and unable to effectively help anyone else, and the whole Joshua fiasco ground his face into those issues pretty brutally. He still feels really guilty when he sees Firo now, cos he's reminded of his failure to protect Firo, someone he cares about and wants to be a good friend to. And in Kaiji's mind, since he has so little self-esteem, the only way he can be a good friend is to be useful to you, and if he's not being useful, then clearly he's just a waste of your time and energy and you're better off just having nothing to do with him. So unless Firo sits him down and actually addresses Kaiji's guilt and self-loathing issues, Kaiji's gonna have a hard time looking Firo in the eye for a while, and he'll be desperate to find some way to make up for his failure.

vzfdnkfdsk I HAD A COMMENT TYPED UP AND I ACCIDENTALLY LOST IT dammit. WARNING, RAMBLEY TL;DR i would say this was less incoherent the first time i typed it, but that would be lying. We should so some knife training stuff, and maybe that'll hopefully help a bit with working on Kaiji's issues, eventually ( ... )

I know CFUW meetings don't carry over into the main game, but hey, first impressions for Remy and Gant in-game? (We should meet in camp, too.)

Also, Kaiji, the rat DID get you a Christmas present (although it took the mun forever SORRY) ♥

A talking rat! How interesting!

...is pretty much Gant's impression of you so far. He's a pretty laid back fellow to begin with, and in camp he's quickly learned to be blasé about a whole lot of weird shit, so a talking rat doesn't faze him much, unusual though it is by his standards. He'd certainly be interested in talking to Remy more, and finding out how he came to be able to speak (for starters). Yes, we should definitely have them meet in camp.

Yes, I saw! I guess I forgot to respond, durr. Kaiji will be so touched by the present, and he'll feel awful for not having gotten Remy anything, so he'll insist Remy share the cookies and hot chocolate with him. ♥
