I'm a little late with this so you're probably all aware of it already. But in case you're not...

I don't think I'll be too sad to see Thirteen go, to be honest.

Me either. I watched a clip from the end of The Poison Sky yesterday, and it just seemed worlds away from what Thirteen has been doing. I'm so hopeful that it will be better when Russell T Davies is back in charge.

oh! I had seen the trailer but not read any info about it so I didn't realise it was a six-part arc, or that it was starting so soon.

I can't believe we're so close to the 60th anniversary! My big solo trip to Europe was centred around being in London for the 50th. And it's eight years ago. I'm interested to see where RTD takes it from here.

I know it starts on the same day here and in the US but I'm not sure about other countries. Do you usually get it around the same time as us?

It doesn't seem like it's 8 years since the last big anniversary! I'm really looking forward to having RTD back at the helm, it will be interesting to see what new ideas he has.

The last couple of series have been on our ABC iView service within an hour of it airing in the UK (about 6am Sunday our time) and then it airs on TV Sunday evening, so I hope that continues.

Fingers crossed! The first episode is going to be on at 6.25pm here, but that's still going to be rather early in the morning! I think that works out at about 4.30am for you.

Thanks for all of this great info! I have to admit that I was confused when my brother sent me the link for Doctor Who: Flux. I couldn't figure out why it had a subtitle. Now I understand that it's a six-episode arc (much like a class Doctor Who story), it makes a lot more sense.

I'll have to check whether that first episode will also be airing in Canada on October 31st. We usually get new episodes on the same day as the UK, so it's probably a safe bet.

There has been a surprising lack of information about the new series from the BBC this time. I only happened to find out through other sites.
