It's the Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR) today. For those who don't know, it started in 1999 from a memorial vigil to Rita Hester who was killed in Allston, Massachusetts the previous year. It's horrendous. Brazil has had the highest amount of Transphobic attacks for several years now. The top three countries are Brazil, India and the US. And America is getting worse, this year has been their worst one yet.

It's the worst country by far for it. One of the people there was beaten to death by the police. There's just no words for that.

Thank you for the reminder. We need to remember them. This shouldn't happen to people.

Thank you for that. Unfortunately there are countries like the US where it's getting worse and that really shouldn't be happening.

It baffles me that there are people in the world who see something as harmless as other people trying to go about their lives in the way that makes the most sense to them as such a threat that the only solution is to kill them. :(

It's pretty much motivated by fear. I think I'm right in saying that all of those people this year were Trans women, so male to female. In the main it's generally down to straight men finding themselves sexually attracted to someone that was born male and retaliating :(
