Do you know what it's like when you've found something that you really really want but either it's too expensive or you have no need or use for it, but then you get it and it's amazing and wonderful, and then a little way down the road, the bloody thing gives up on you?

I had been eyeing up the Ducti Utility bag for quite some time but couldn't ( Read more... )

I know, I was really not impressed. I've certainly not got enough use out of it for it to be wearing out already. I don't even think I can mend it either.

Damn, when you mentioned it being expensive. . I thought you were meaning a couple hundred quid or something. . . I think £30 is quite cheap for a bag. xD. I've a bag that's nearly £400. O_O I'd be devastated if it suddenly gave up on me, yo.

I'm sorry that your bag broke. =C Hopefully you'll get a replacement that will last. =]

For a student with no income, £30 is a lot of money. Especially for just a bag.

Money is a drag. There's never enough of it. -Sigh-

I hate it when a favourite bag dies. Not that I don't have enough bags - that's my only girly side! - but some are just more useful than others!!!

I have a couple of other bags, a large rucksack and a old-school leather satchel but like you say, some bags are just more useful than others. That one was just a good size for a day out somewhere when I needed something to hold maybe a drink, my camera, sunglasses, and that kind of thing. Bah!

that's a pity that the lining is so badly. Isn't there a way to have a new lining made into it?

I don't know. The whole edging would have to be unpicked to have the lining replaced. The fastener is one of those magnet ones so it's fixed into the lining and I don't know if it's possible to open it up and reattach it. But even if it could be repaired, I wouldn't know where to take it to get it done.

that sounds indeed very tricky. I don't think I would like to give that a try

I asked my mother about it because she used to be a machinist and she didn't think it was easily repairable either. It's a shame.
