A MARVELous birthday

Mar 10, 2014 21:04

I had intended to update about my birthday on Friday but unfortunately I wasn't well. I wasn't better until Sunday, but I spent that day catching up on the MOOC so this is the first chance I've had to post about it.

Yay cake and oooh beatles rockband, that'll keep you happy for hours, no trying to code the Beatles into the android course game now... :)

It's been so long since I've played any Guitar Hero type games! I need to get a guitar controller first because the Beatles game is for the Wii and my current guitar games are all for the PS2. The idea of coding the Beatles into the Android course game had not crossed my mind! Well, not until you mentioned it anyway... :P

*Sigh* really tempted to get a Wii if only to play that but considering how seldom (ie hardly at all since i got it) I play my single Guitar Hero game its not a good plan, hope you enjoy the game once you get a controller though... You could have the fab four's faces instead of your sad balls by the way, paddle as a yellow submarine? just have to pick which Beatle gets to be the scoring one!

I was really excited by the Wii when we got it but I don't think the selection of games is all that great. There's a lot of party style games, like dancing things and board games, which are no fun if you're playing on your own. Then there's things like Call of Duty which seem a weird selection for that kind of console. I've really not used the Wii at all, certainly not compared to how much use I've had from my PS2. If I had the money, I'd upgrade to a PS3. I know GAME have a really decent offer for a 500GB console, plus the new game Thief (£45 on its own) and 4 other games for £250. Besides, PS3 has the Book of Spells game...

Sounds like a great birthday! I'm glad you had such a good day filled with yummy food and awesome presents. And OMG bunnies and teeny hamster! *ded*

I'm debating whether to watch the new Jonathan Creek cos it seems like nobody's terribly impressed by it from the little that I've heard. I kind of want to see it anyway but I'm unsure. No magic, creepiness or windmill?! What's even left after all those have gone?? It sounds like a completely different show that just happens to have the character of Jonathan transplanted into it. :/

I didn't think you had time to watch any new TV programmes, isn't that what you told me a while ago when I recommended a new programme to you?

You still owe me an email, by the way.

I don't really, but I'm not sure whether to add it to my list or not. :P It is only three episodes though, which makes it less overwhelming to contemplate catching up on, although I haven't watched the latest series of Sherlock yet and that's only three episodes too.

I didn't email you back because I didn't have anything else to say. I thought you wanted me to say things when I had something to say, and not to feel obligated.

The bit about not being obligated to say something was regarding commenting on LJ. I wasn't talking about that, I was referring to an actual email I sent you way back on February 23rd which you still haven't responded to.
