I'm really not sure if the hysto would help or not. I'm concerned that even though oestrogen is not my favourite hormone, at least, pre-hysto I still have the option of it and I'm not left completely hormone-less. I have no idea what would that would do but it doesn't sound like a good thing.

Being completely hormone-less would mean basically being post-menopausal. So you'd be at increased risk for things like osteoporosis. :-/ If you went off T, you'd have to get oestrogen prescribed instead. I don't blame you one bit for being concerned. You could see about having your ovaries left in so oestrogen would still be an option, if you want. I know that's not ideal either though. But I do know that lots of people found that T was more effective post-hysto and had to lower their doses. I don't remember if I mentioned it at the time, but I noticed my facial hair coming in slightly faster within less than a week after my hysto. That's why I dropped my dose from 50mg/week to 40mg/week. There's no way to predict whether you'll have a similar experience though. :-/ It does seem to be common but it's definitely not universal.

That sucks. Seven years and the doctors still haven't gotten your T dose right? I know it's a process but dang, seven years? Hope they get you straightened out right quick.
