Turn the weather up to maximum

I am so glad that I got my errands done yesterday morning, rather than having to do them today. The weather today has been appalling. The North West has been on an Amber alert for flooding and high winds all of today - we're getting a month's worth of rain in 24 hours which is fun - tomorrow and Sunday, it drops down to a Yellow alert for ( Read more... )

The end of the route today finished at Blackpool and there was supposed to be the big ceremony with music and stuff on the front there but they had to move it inside because of the weather. It took place in the Tower Ballroom instead which they had to organise at the last minute. When the news was showing the people today who were carrying the torch, it was all people in wheelchairs or who weren't able to walk very well and it was just so horrible to see them struggling in the horrendous wind and rain.

Eep, so much rain! I am very glad your errands were done so you (mostly) got to stay in out of the wet. I hope it clears up sooner than predicted so you don't float away.

*hears thunder as I'm typing* Oooo, I think some of your rain is coming this way.

That's so obnoxious that you had to get up early and go in to college in such horrible weather for no reason. L seems to regularly say stuff that doesn't quite make sense, but I don't see why N told you to come in today if nothing was even cross-marked yet. And when someone tells you to come in on Friday, it does sound like they mean the next Friday. If they don't, they shouldn't just say Friday! Hmph.

Yay, I'm so glad you're all pleased with your parcel! Just let me know when you need more Kool-Aid or other goodies. ;) I am always v happy to be your supplier.

The teacher I spoke to is actually N's wife and she just looked baffled when I said that L had told me to ask for my work back. It was so annoying that I'd gone all that way in horrendous weather when I could have stayed at home. Or, more likely, taken my mother shopping.

Yes! Although more for colouring in than writing. And they're very brown so possibly not the best for writing anyway!

I hope the Kippa fits! It can easily be stretched if needed, you may need some clips too. It was my first try at a smaller kippa.

So glad to see it arrived!

It did indeed arrive! Thank you for the kippa, it is very special. I'll definitely need some clips though, especially as I have quite a lot of hair at the moment.
