eBay is evil

After Wellington arrived in less than optimal packaging, I deliberated for a while over what to do with regards to feedback. In the end, I decided to contact weblmb, the seller first and see what ze had to say. I sent them a message through eBay (which annoyingly has now been deleted due to eBay's stupid system and I forgot to get it copied ( Read more... )

OK, remind me that when I send you something, to send it in a ziploc bag and then bitch at the USPS for it.

Also, neg =/= neutral, WTF?

Actually, a ziplock bag would be an awful lot stronger which gives you some idea of exactly how pathetic the bin liner was. But sure, feel free to send me stuffs ;)

I think neg = neutral as far as those 'professional' type sellers are concerned.

I'm thinking of starting my own ebay tag similar to yours. lol I can't believe they blamed the mail system! Sure, Royal Mail should have done a better job at handling the package, but ultimately, it was the seller's fault for not packaging the product well enough to withstand normal "wear and tear" that's pretty much expected in the postal system. So frustrating!

Actually, it was seeing your post that reminded me I'd not updated about my own eBay experience. I think everyone should have an 'eBay is evil' tag!

Of course Royal Mail should have taken better care of the parcel but stuff goes through machines and things these days and it's supposed to be appropriately packaged. I was just lucky Wellington didn't get his head torn off or something.

I'd contact ebay over the seller because they are completely abusing the feedback system. I hate people like that. Nothing similar has happened to me yet but I always worry that it will. When I buy and sell things I'm always super friendly and quick so anyone wanting to leave not so good feedback won't have a leg to stand on.

I had a look at eBay's T&C regarding feedback and it says that "Negative statements that conflict with a positive rating" are not permitted, so this seller has broken the rules there. I also went back looking through their feedback and found out that several other people have complained about the packaging and have had abusive responses so it looks like I'm not the only one.
