Womble names really make me sad I didn't grow up with it, because they crack me up. A likes to sing the theme tune at random moments. :)

The best thing about the names is that according to the stories, Wombles are nameless until they come of age and at that point they get to pick their own name out of Great Uncle Bulgaria's atlas. How great is that? So all the Wombles are named after places, although they're not always a good representation of the character...

Good for A! He's obviously got taste.

I really hate it when ebay sellers don't package things up properly, I would go so far as to say that it's one of my pet hates (along with tailgating, lol).

Seriously, if I can take the time to carefully pack 40 McDonalds toys in bubble wrap, then another person can take much more care when packing one womble. It wouldn't even cross my mind to use a bin liner, I don't know what goes on in some peoples' heads.

It's the first time I've ever had anything so badly packaged. Usually things have come in jiffy bags so there's not been a problem. I was completely baffled by it too, I mean, who looks at a bin liner and thinks, "Now that would be great to use for posting stuff."

I'm definitely going to mention it in my feedback, but I'm debating whether I should mention it to the seller first or not.

I think that I would just send them a message to say that the binliner didn't stand up through the posting process very well, but not to worry as the item arrived fine. A polite suggestion that maybe using anything other than a binliner might be a good idea.

Yeah, I think I might do that. I still feel like I want to make a note of it in the feedback too though :-/

OMG yes yes yes, I did get your postcard! It arrived last week. I just fail at letting you know :o( It is sitting up on show on my desk, but the laptop has been parked in the loungeroom next to the heater for the last few weeks, probably why I've failed to mention I got it - so sorry xoxoxoxox

But THANK YOU, it was such a lovely surprise, and Josiah enjoyed looking at it and carrying it from the mailbox - he likes getting the "maow" for me :o)

It's okay, I'm just relieved that it arrived! I posted yours and the one to my other Australian friend at a different time and in a different post box so maybe that's why yours arrived and the others haven't.

I'm glad it was a nice surprise for you and that Josiah got some pleasure out of it too :)
