Good and Bad
Today's Good thing:
Wellington has arrived. He came late on this morning and the postman passed him over saying, "I think this is a Womble." He thought it was Great Uncle Bulgaria, probably because of the glasses, but it's still amusing that he even recognised it as a Womble. How did he know it had glasses? Well...
Today's Bad things:
Unfortunately the seller of Wellington had not taken a great deal of care in packaging him up. He arrived in a bin liner held together with parcel tape. Note that it was a bin liner, not even a bin bag which at least is a bit stronger. No, it was one of those thin little things for kitchen bins and it wasn't even doubled up or anything so it was just the one layer. As a result, it had large rips in several places and the Royal Mail had had to patch it up. Thankfully, Wellington didn't get damaged but he's quite traumatised and is now relaxing with a nice cup of tea.
While we're on the subject of the post, I'll tell you what hasn't arrived and that's the postcards I sent from Boston. I sent four to my family who all live in this village and the next one and there's been no sign of them at all. I also sent two to friends in Australia but I don't know if those have arrived yet. *looks questioningly at psychokitten76* It's rather annoying to think that I spent money on buying the postcards plus nearly a dollar each to post them, not to mention all the time I spent writing the damn things out, and they've disappeared into the ether.
And finally, the most Bad thing of all: I have run out of Dunkin Donuts coffee. I'm finishing off the New England Chocolate Cappucino that I was using while I was in Boston recently but as nice as it is, it's not Dunkies! *woe*
