Liz Truss has just resigned as Prime Minister after 45 days.

What the absolute fuck.

ETA Backstory: There's been so much happening over the past month, it's been really hard to keep track of it all. I'll try and sum it up to provide some understanding of how it's come to this point

I only heard about that just before as well! The whole thing has just been so ridiculous.

I saw a headline of the possibility last night and the resignation this morning. Like,what????? Did you NOT know what you were getting into???

I don't think that was the issue. The problem was that her mini budget completely destroyed the economy which was the exact opposite of what it was meant to do.

Put Ed Milliband in charge? ;) I say this half jokingly as I get to hear a portion of what he thinks on his podcast Reasons to be Cheerful.

Well, he's the wrong party for one thing. He's Labour and the current government is the Tories. Even if Labour were the government, the leader is Sir Keir Starmer so Ed Miliband still wouldn't be in charge. To be honest, I wasn't even aware he was still an MP. I know he started doing the podcast with Geoff Lloyd but I didn't know it was still going on.
